Friends of Mine Float Camp is created by father and daughter team Trevor and Caitlin Reid.

We have created a unique off-the-grid glamping experience where friends and family can escape the hustle and bustle and go camping comfortably while floating on the water.

​

Growing up on the Sunshine Coast, our family was always camping, at the beach or both. We want to share this feeling of a Coastal family experience with our guests.

Trevor who designed and engineered the float camp is a structural fabricator and boat builder who has always been fascinated by unique off-the-grid accommodations. Inspired by his younger years working as a rafting guide on the Thompson River, he wanted to build a pontoon that was amphibious - which it is!

Caitlin was inspired by her time teaching in Taiwan noticing how rare camping can be for many families and how screens have taken over childhood. She wanted to create a camping experience for friends and families to make memories (away from technology) which was stress-free and easy to escape and enjoy the hidden gems of the Sunshine Coast.

Together, we have created Friends of Mine Float Camp offering a unique off-the-grid easy getaway to relax and enjoy camping in style.
